Jerry!

We are so enjoying reading about your Turkish adventure. You've developed a great writing style.

Sweet corn season has come to an end here in central Iowa but we've still got tomatoes and peppers coming out the waz. I brought into the office this morning another little sharing basket of Savina Habaneros from Amy's garden - they're so hot that they're almost a novelty but great if you know how to use them. I love a toasted bagel with a schmear of cream cheese and some tiny slivers of Savina sprinkled on. And they're wonderful in scrambled eggs, too.

I'll be thinking of you as I pan-roast some graden tomatoes this weekend to serve with whatever comes off the grill. Ta!
