A Stir The Pots Post

Those foodies seek him everywhere! If you should see him, do give him a yell!

Ever elusive, like the Scarlet Pimpernel. Well, not really, but has it been three weeks since I last said something here?!?!

Just know that I am cooking a lot, and a recent check of my levain that has been hibernating in my fridge for a week. Turned out it was completely white and runny. It looked like putty! All to say that I haven’t been baking and life is hectic. Not least because my wife had an idea to lighten up the house by painting the kitchen, getting rid of excess stuff, etc. In fact, I just managed to save my beloved cuisinart stove from being heaved out the door.

I admire and love my wife to the heavens, but I have to bake you know! But all she sees is that my flour is all over the place. “Only a little loaf just for you,” she told me recently, “heat or no heat. Well, feeling behind, I will leave you with some food shots from work to remind you where I’ve been and to prove that I haven’t forgotten this blog. Until next time, happy cooking!
