Friarielli is broccoli di rape, or is it? Not according to my friend Domenico, in fact he say's it's only available in Italy and especially from the region of Campania in the volcanic soil of Vesuvius. Well now it's available through Gustiamo, I recently got a few jars, green oiled and aromatic. Friarrielli isn't for the weak, it's pungent, bitter and deliciously addictive. Either with some sausage, mortadella, basically anything porky and fat on bread or with pasta will be great. Get some, so worth it!
