A Stir The Pots Post

Rambling, Switzerland

by | Sep 1, 2012 | Uncategorized

This year I went to Europe on vacation, first to Switzerland to see my family. Though it was a  short visit, it was filled with childrens voices, long walks, and yes, bread baking. My sister welcomed me with my favorite quark kuchen, chocolate, I drank Rivela, we ate cheese, broke bread and walked up meadows and watched falling stars at night. Plums didn’t come out as before from her orchard, the strange climate round the world made for an August empty of mirabelle and zwetchge. It’s a beautiful quiet place and my favorite family always welcomes us with smiles.
